Whistler’s restaurants have you covered for tasty food & drink. Check out Bearfoot Bistro’s fun, new, mountain-style, tropical oasis-themed patio for happy hour and sip delicious rum creations; dine at the Four Seasons Whistler summer BBQ on Thursday evenings for a feast guaranteed to please the whole family.

Experience what we love this winter with some local Whistler favourites. Ski-down or take the short drive to visit Creekside Village and indulge in a treat of locally made gelato or sorbet, pick-and-mix candy, healthful smoothies, warming oatmeal bowls and Italian coffees at Confetti Gelato; fulfill your passion for patties at Splitz Grill on Main Street — the local’s favourite casual place with serious burgers, with fresh patties made daily and more than 40 homemade toppings; try some locally made gin or vodka from Whistler’s first local distillery Montis Distilling in Function Junction.

Happy Hour on the Bearfoot Bistro Patio

The Bearfoot Bistro’s patio is officially open and ready to welcome you for happy hour! This summer, the sun-soaked patio will be transformed into a mountain-style tropical oasis, complete with rum-infused cocktails, fresh seafood buckets, and entertaining games that will bring out your inner child.

“With this new concept, I want to transport our guests to a sunny destination, like the Caribbean,” explains Maxime Renaud, Bearfoot’s bar captain. He emphasizes the patio is “perfect for a warm summer happy hour get-together with friends,” where guests will feel as though they have escaped to a far-off getaway without leaving Whistler.

Sip one of the expertly crafted cocktails, including twists on favourites, like a spicy margarita, Peach Julep and Old Cuban. Plus, pre-mixed rum creations are infused with a range of flavours like caramelized banana and vanilla, strawberry and jalapeno, fresh ginger and cinnamon, and pineapple with coconut. Presented in a carafe, guests can then build their drink just the way they like it. Between drinks, challenge your friends and have some laughs with the patio games, including a putting green, Connect4 and ring toss. And on weekends, there will be a live DJ.

Bearfoot Executive Chef Melissa Craig announced that the happy hour menu on the patio will offer “a selection of casual sharing plates, in addition to an array of daily features, highlighting the freshest seasonal produce from the exceptional farms in Pemberton, and using a wide selection of Canadian shellfish, fish and meats.” Craig and her team “look forward to offering guests delicious bites to share with friends and family and hearing the laughter of fun times.”

Four Seasons Whistler Summer BBQ

The Four Seasons is excited for the return of their legendary summer BBQ, which will run every Thursday until Sept. 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. This exciting summer revival is a cherished Canadian classic and the team can’t wait to present this perfect location for guests to kick back with friends and family and reconnect over music, food, and drink.

The BBQ will feature a delicious feast of choices to satisfy your post-adventure hunger. A grill station with chefs cooking on open-pit BBQs will offer fresh grilled salmon, chimichurri steaks, roasted ribs, and juicy brisket. Balance the protein with classic sides like roasted corn on the cob, baked potatoes, cornbread, and a deluxe salad bar. But, be sure to leave room for dessert.

Sidecut Executive Chef Sajish Kumar explains that the BBQ is heavily influenced by the natural beauty of the Whistler region and the exceptional availability of local products. “The Sea to Sky’s bounty is really the inspiration behind our signature BBQ,” Kumar says. “For me, it’s the quality of the ingredients, mostly sourced from local producers and farmers, [that] is of the utmost importance in providing a true Canadian summer experience.”

The BBQ celebrates local vendors and features several craft breweries from the Sea to Sky region. Local artists will entertain diners with live music, cultivating an atmosphere where visitors and Whistler residents can gather and reconnect. Reserve your table — eat, drink, and be merry!
