The Sasquatch Lives!

The longest zipline in Canada and the USA, The Sasquatch, goes live on July 30th and Whistler Traveller’s Joern Rohde was able to get a sneak peak and experience this high adrenaline zipline.

The Sasquatch spans over 2 kms long, creating 7,000 feet of unmatched pure exhilaration!

The zipline flies guests from a launch high up on Blackcomb Mountain to a landing near mid-mountain on Whistler Mountain.  “This will be a game-changer without a doubt!” says Ziptrek CEO Charles Steele. “For those familiar with the world record breaking Peak to Peak Gondola, this zipline rides a similar path, spanning the two mountains, from a high elevation. You can just imagine the views from up there are simply spectacular, where riders will be able to get an amazing perspective of their complete surroundings. That is, when they take the opportunity to take it all in – because it will be quite the thrill ride!”

The stats:

  • Over 2 km’s long
  • 7,000 ft continuous dual zipline
  • 600 ft above the ground
  • Max speeds well over 100 km/hour

“I photograph adventures and activities around the world, including many zip lines. The Sasquatch line far exceeded my expectations…super fast and exhilarating. I'll definitely be doing this one again!” Joern Rohde.

Opening July 30th, and available to book now, the Sasquatch zipline will be run as a solo offering, and as a tour product.  Contact Ziptrek Ecotours for more information or to book.
