Audain Art Museum Opening
Yesterday Whistler Traveller was privileged to get a sneak preview of the spectacular Audain Art Museum.
After having our sneak preview we must say that the exhibitions and the architecturally impressive building are something that must be seen and experienced when visiting Whistler.
After much anticipation the Museum opens tomorrow for the grand opening celebration weekend, 10am - 5pm. The opening ceremony is at noon, featuring First Nations Traditional Welcome and remarks from dignitaries and supporters. Tickets are $18 for adults and youth 16 and under are free! Individual memberships are $60 and family memberships are only $85.
Here are some of the highlights.

The event was catered by Bearfoot Bistro and the appetizers were delicious as always.
The official opening is tomorrow, March 12, 2016, and a limited number of tickets will be available at the door or through whistler.com.
Thank you Michael Audain and Yoshiko Karasawa for bringing this vision to fruition in Whistler! We can't wait to visit again.
